Modify Garden Images

To replace existing images in the Garden section:

• In the WordPress control panel
• Go to the Media link on the left sidebar
• Scroll or search for the image you want to replace
• Click “edit”
• Then click the “upload a new file” button
• Replace the old image with you new image
• Be sure to only upload images that are the same size
• Use 960x650px for all Garden images

Add a New Press Entry

To add a new Press entry

• Have your press images and PDF ready
• All of your images MUST be this exact same HEIGHT and must be 960px wide for each press entry
• Images can vary for different press entries, but need to be consistent for each slideshow
• The PDF can be any sized PDF
• To add the images, click on the “Upload/Insert” button and then drag your images into the upload target
• You can then rearrange the order for how you’d like them to appear
• Click “Save all changes” when you’re done
• Next, you’ll want to add the PDF
• Add your PDF the same way you added your images
• It will now be automatically linked to in the press entry
• Be sure to only have 1 PDF file per press entry.

Modify Press Entries

The thumbnail, slideshow images, and PDF can all be modified for each press entry

• To edit the slideshow images, or change their order, navigate to Pages -> Press/Name of Press Entry
• To edit the images, click on the “Upload/Insert” button and then add or remove any images to the gallery.
• The slideshow images will be updated once you upload new ones.
• You can also change the order by dragging the images

Modify Home Page Images

Each of the 4 homepage images can be modified on the Gardens page. Changes to the layout and number of images need to be made by the webmaster.

• To update the images for this page you will need to update the featured imagefor each corresponding garden’s section
• For example to change the homepage image for American gardens, you would need to navigate to Pages -> Gardens/American and then click on the button for “Upload/Insert”.
• Then click on “Gallery” towards the to of the page.
• Select the image you want to use for the homepage and then click the “use as featured image” link.

Modify the About Page

The about text and feature image can both be modified on the about page. The form and contact info are hard-coded and need to be updated by your webmaster.

• To update the text: navigate to Pages -> About in the admin control panel and modify the entry’s text.
• To update the feature image: navigate to Pages -> About and click on the button for “Upload/Insert”.
• Then click on “Gallery” towards the to of the page.
• Delete the current image if you no longer wish to use it.
• Upload your new image, using a minimum size of 800px wide.
• When you’re done be sure to click the “use as featured image link”
• Clean up. Delete any images not being used.
